First generation ("splittie" with the two-piece windshield) VW Type 2 basic "Kombi" (11-window) with the fold-out back seat / bed remnant from an original Westfalia camper add-on interiors package.

Originally a single color (like all Kombis, this one green), it had been previously restored to deluxe two-tone coloring which I've kept (go Dartmouth!) Also had been upgraded to 12V and a 60hp engine.
I have restored the front cab with original spec replica materials, added an OEM AM radio (modified with iPhone aux jack), and Lauan wood paneling throughout. The rear cab is tricked out as a surf / windsurf vehicle stocked with boards, sails, masts, booms, wetsuits, etc.
One day I'll strip it to metal and re-build to show quality, but until then it's for cruising down Abbot Kinney flashing peace signs at the tourists on the way to a day surfing on the PCH.
