I was auditioning for a part on a network TV show in the mid 90’s. There was a big waiting room where actors who were also auditioning for other various TV shows were waiting for their names to be called to go in and read for various casting directors and execs.

I noticed a very tall man sitting off in the corner. I recognized him, but I wasn’t quite sure who he was. I walked over and politely asked him, “Pardon me for bothering you, but are you The Iceman?” His eyes lit up and he smiled, “Why, yes I am!” I replied, “I don’t want to bother you, but can I get your autograph!” He replied, “Of course! No problem!” I had nothing for him to sign, so I got him to sign a blank piece of paper. I wished him luck at the audition and wished the same to me.

Auditions can be extremely nerve wracking for actors but he made my day! Thanks Iceman!
