1936 National Chicle R311, Glossy ⭐ Henry Hank Greenberg This is a card I bought raw in 2020. I absolutely love the card and the Henry "Hank" Greenberg story. Henry "Hank" Greenberg was a legendary baseball player for the Detroit Tigers and one of the first Jewish sports superstars in America.<ul><li>Power Hitter: He dominated the 1930s and 1940s, winning two American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards and driving in 183 runs in 1937.</li><li>Yom Kippur Decision: In 1934, he chose to sit out a crucial game during a Jewish High Holy Day, earning widespread respect and becoming a hero to Jewish Americans.</li><li>Military Service: He left baseball at his athletic peak to serve nearly four years in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. I'm going to send it to PSA for enshrinement someday, when I get around to it. </li></ul>
