Evan Longoria Bat Knob vs. Relic Card

Saw this story pop up last week and glad @yanxchick wrote about it. It's funny what collectors put a premium to- a bat knob on a card is $100K but the full game-used bat is $700? An auto of a legend is a few grand but the auto cut and glued to a card is 10x more.

Collect what you love, so I don't take issue with either path. But I do find it interesting how much of a premium people put on the card vs. the actual item. Will it continue that way?

A one-of-a-kind card with a bat knob piece featuring Charizard from Pokeman has already drawn a $100,000 bounty.
