A little over two years ago, a friend shared a relic Topps obtained that would show up in a future product ... I NEEDED THIS for the Anthony Rizzo PC.

I waited ... and waited.
Finally, the card popped up on eBay about a month ago for $500 BIN (no BO).

But knowing the Rizzo market and having bought similar cards, I messaged the seller asking if they would take $300.
$500 was too much for me especially right before Xmas and I don't have an unlimited card budget. I have a mortgage!
The seller came back offering with $480. ...

Then they sent a blanket offer out to all watchers (and I had some friends watching) for $450.
No takers.
The card was then put up for auction. I won it for $309.
Not gonna lie. I felt vindicated based on what I thought the card was worth that I won it for $9 off my offer.

I definitely did not fit in. Haha. But it was cool to go to the auction and see how the other side lives.

Wow. The Ohtani 50/50 card sold 653,737 copies. That's insane.
