After some honest reflection, I’ve decided to step away from running my eBay store full-time.

Between family, business, and finishing my bachelor’s degree, the time required to properly manage low-end cards on eBay just isn’t something I can consistently give right now. Rather than forcing it and burning out, I’m choosing to simplify.

I’ll still sell cards from time to time, but the majority of my inventory will be sent to COMC so I can stay involved in the hobby in a way that fits my current situation of life.

This isn’t an exit — just a shift in strategy. Appreciate everyone here who’s shared insights, ideas, and encouragement along the way. Onward. 💪

Quick update for anyone following my store journey 👇

I’ve made a full reset on how I’m running things.

Instead of forcing volume tactics or constantly tweaking prices, I simplified everything to make the store easier to manage and more fair for buyers:

• All listings now use calculated shipping
• Pricing is based on the median sold price over the last 3 months on eBay
• Best Offer is turned on across the board
• Running 10% off the entire order (no minimum)

The goal is consistency, transparency, and letting comps + offers do the heavy lifting — especially while balancing family life and finishing my degree.

I’ll keep listing as time allows (1 card a day as of now) and continue sharing what works (and what doesn’t).

This week brought another sale, even with limited time to list and optimize the store.

Life is full right now — my wife is pregnant, I’m nearing the finish line on my bachelor’s degree, and we’re raising three little girls. Because of that, I’ve been thinking a lot about sustainability in the hobby.

I’m strongly considering shifting more low-end inventory back to COMC and letting it function as a “part-time employee,” while I focus my limited time on family and higher-leverage cards.

The long-term plan hasn’t changed:

• Move cards consistently

• Reinvest into better pieces

• Enjoy the hobby without burning out

This past week I officially restarted my eBay sports card store and wanted to share a quick progress update.

📦 Inventory

• 228 active card listings

• Currently listing 5 cards per day

• Goal: ramp up to 9 cards per day as systems tighten up

💸 Sales

• 2 cards sold this week

• Both low-end singles, one was mis priced but it is what it is.

📈 What I’m focusing on

• Consistent daily listings

• Clean, search-optimized titles

• Low-end singles with volume discounts to encourage stacking

• Shipping + cost control (learning quickly here)

This is very much a brick-by-brick rebuild. The goal right now isn’t big wins — it’s building a repeatable system that scales.
