The other day @nightowlcards posted about his 1977 Topps set, which were the first packs that I collected. I was specifically after George Brett cards, who was my hero back then. Pulling my first Brett from a pack and getting a box of Twinkies with Brett's card on it were highlights of those early days; I wasn't able to get a Kellogg's card of Brett despite all the cereal I went through, but as a consolation prize I'm sure I came perilously close to developing Type 2 diabetes...
