The most humble yet deserving African American Hall of Famer in baseball.
Larry Doby was the first to integrate the American League, yet he did not get the fanfare nor did he seek the limelight that was thrust on Jackie Robinson who made his MLB history debuting just weeks before Doby.
Larry Doby was a MLB Pioneer and Trailblazer by any meaningful major league measurement, but still goes largely unrecognized today.
To Larry Doby, I tip my cap and give my utmost respect and admiration.
