I started collecting cards around 1987. When Ken Griffey Jr. came out in 1989, he was clearly the player everyone was looking for. I went back and tried to find minor-league cards of the players I loved. I think it told a story of their entire career, and finding some of the first cards ever made, even before the rookie cards came out, was kind of cool. They aren’t insanely valuable, but they are far more rare that has overproduced 1989 rookies from upper deck, Donruss, Fleer, and Topps
