I love collecting athletes who are legendary… Almost mythical. It’s one of the reasons I love collecting Jim Thorpe. For the same reason, I love collecting Bo Jackson. His feats of athleticism over multiple sports is something you rarely see. Especially looking for those early, oddball cards like this team issued 1986 Memphis cChicks, minor league card, which is an autographed. It fits perfectly in my collection. Not super expensive, but still insanely cool.

Love this card. The kid in the San Bernardino Spirit Single A uniform with Fiscalini Field in the background. I grew up very close to this field and my first baseball games were seen here. The field still stands but is no longer home to any minor league teams. The Spirit became the 66ers and were the minor league affiliate of the Dodgers, then Angels, and now once again the Single A affiliate of the Mariners

Mariano Rivera has one of the most recognizable rookie cards in the 1992 Bowman set. When I saw this card, I had to scoop it up because I hadn’t seen it before. Rivera is the only unanimous hall of fame inductee. I have a feeling Albert Pujols will be the second.
