Today's the last day to bid on the first ghostwrite collectible toy drop- 20 are being sold using a blind dutch auction format. The brand was created by Josh Luber, founder of StockX and former chief visionary officer of Fanatics Collectibles.
I was lucky enough to bid on/win one of the friends & family releases earlier this summer. You can check out the post here: https://www.onmantel.com/post/d40f9add-530c-4d6d-8b4a-6e07becad430
If I'm a betting man, I think this drop will sell for at least 20% more than the F&F drops did, given one of the No. 2 Pencil toys just sold on StockX yesterday for $1,200, and a prototype sold at VeeCon for more than $700.
Luber knows how to capture the zeitgeist and build hype, and if you watched his interview for Mantel Quality Stories (link below), it's clear from all of those toys in the background, he knows this category well.
Really excited to see how launch goes, and how this collectible brand develops over time.
