Super fortunate to get access to a ghostwrite friends and family release, where I scooped up this No. 2 pencil vinyl toy.
The new toy line was created by Josh Luber, founder of StockX, among other endeavors in the collectibles space.
They haven’t officially launched for the public, so I couldn’t say no to grabbing one when given the chance.
Super interesting process… blind Dutch auctions, so they determine the clearing price by matching the highest bids to the quantity of items available. In this case, they had 20 total toys, so the 20th highest bid set the price and everyone at/above that bid paid that exact price, meaning some paid less than they bid. My first time bidding in an auction like that!
Anyways, the toy is great. Tons of tiny details, great size, quality. Hoping ghostwrite is huge when they launch in August- great entrant into the vinyl toy market.
(Sorry about my attempt at an artsy photoshoot).
