I realize there are people out there who try to scam dealers, go back on their purchase, don't pay, etc. I'd like to believe that the majority of people are honest with their situations however, and unfortunately "force majeure" events do occur. I had a recent transaction where I was willing to split the difference between the shipping insured amount and the item's value with the dealer, but they came out of the gate so aggressive and accusatory that I decided to not bother offering and instead it became A Thing.

My ask to everyone on both sides of a transaction gone sideways: Take a beat and understand the entire situation before losing your proverbial sh*t...
