Thought this crew would appreciate this back-and-forth I had on X.com with a magazine collector I've followed for a bit.
The poster shared about their process for pressing magazines to get rid of creases before grading. If you've been following what's happened in the card space recently, PSA + other graders have come down hard on card cleaning/prepping if certain chemicals are used, or the cards are pressed and de-dented. So I was surprised that a collector was talking so openly about 'altering' a magazine.
Turns out, based on the response I got back, that magazine graders are cool with the publications being flattened out. Good to know, as I have a few older mags I've been thinking of getting graded, but was worried about their condition.
