Does anyone know when Barry started signing The Lion King on his cards?

This is an on card auto from 1997, and there were only 42 on card autos in this set. I also wonder how many were signed The Lion King in this set? I’ve only seen one other pic of this card and it was just his name. This pull was 1:1,200 packs in the ‘97 Topps Gallery Set.
