I really like what Altan Insights is trying to do for the industry. While I have some nit pick things on how they use Card Ladders index to represent a few key dimensions, its a good step forward and directionally a good indicator on values across a few segments. Overall vintage continues to hold values, relatively compared to modern. What is missing is consideration and interest by sport, overlayed by grading submissions vs values. I suspect there is some leading indicators with interest/consideration as to what will be coming to market/auctions.
