Here’s another Japanese Amada sticker of Flareon to pair with the Gastly I posted the other day. I’m starting to see more interest in these but for the longest time the prices have gone all over the place, and they still are (currently down). They are a tough grade and I’ve noticed even some of the off center ones getting 10s, so I’ve decided to be more picky as some of my grails 🏆 become available, as a couple years ago I would be fumbling my phone trying to win a PSA 8 or 7.
I’m not sure as to why PSA has been giving out these easy 10s but the stickers have lots that can cause the grade to slip, like little “corner pills” that stay after separating from adjacent stickers in production, the centering, the surface (especially with holos and gold variants), corner problems from being mounted on magazines, and even some having problems with the glue in between the layers of the sticker.
This beauty is in my PSA Vault with several other pieces I’ve been able to accumulate over a couple years. Curious to see who in this vibrant community are utilizing PSA Vault and who are strictly against it and why?
