Mail day this week brought me this 1996 Olympics postcard. Acquired it because the picture made me think that must be Mia Hamm, as Mia played her first Olympics at 1996 Atlanta games. I always like the stories on the back of sport memorabilia and was amazed to see that even though Men's soccer had been part of the Olympic Games since 1990, only 96 years later were our daughters and sisters allowed to play.
As I looked at the card again today, I could not help but think about LA and the challenges they are currently facing. Looking forward to 2028 Olympics when LA will again have the world's attention.
