Darryl’s Major League career consisted of just 19 games in the 1983 season with the Oakland Athletics. Mostly a late inning defensive replacement he started just four games all season but he got six hits in his 18 at bats. The last thing he did on a Major League diamond was score his only run, a game winner in the bottom of the tenth inning against the Toronto Blue Jays. Darryl Cias turns 69 today.
