Native East Providence, Rhode Islander Davey Lopes passed away from complications from Parkinson’s Disease today at the age of 80.

Half of the “Marks Brothers” receiving tandem (along with Mark Duper), Mark Clayton set a National Football League record for receiving touchdowns in a season with 18 in 1984 (since broken). His 550 receptions and 81 receiving touchdowns are the most in Miami Dolphins history. Mark Clayton turns 65 today.

“The Wiz” missed just two games in 13 seasons with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders. He was a two-time All Pro and went to eight Pro Bowls. Steve Wisniewski turns 59 today.

Sterling set a National Football League record for receptions in a season in 1992 (108) while winning the receiving triple crown by leading the league in receptions, receiving yards and yards per catch.
