Spurrier was the first QB of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1976.
He retired after the season and became a coach for the Florida Gators. He started there and ended his career there. I’d love to have a signed card of him in Bucs Uniform. Unfortunately one does not exist, not a real one anyway.
Probably my second-favorite football set. The first football cards I remember buying in packs. Not sure if I'll ever complete it -- that Walter Payton rookie looms -- but I pick up random cards when I'm in the mood.
This Man is severely under appreciated and I feel that he doesn’t get enough mention for his historic feats in football. I made a previous post about why he is special to me. Even though he has left us, I will find every Briscoe card and add it to my collection as a tribute to a Man I called my friend. It’s just heartbreaking that he only has a handful of sports cards floating out there.
