These are the first two boxing cards I acquired, about 6 years ago.
Abe Attell was my first boxing card, I won on eBay auction for $8.
Before Abe, I was primarily a vintage baseball card collector, which led me to the story of the 1919 Black Sox and Abe Attell. Attell was alleged to be the "bag man" in the deal, handling the transfer of money. Attell was never convicted of any associated crimes though.
I was so smitten with Abe's card that I started looking into other 1910 T218 cards and boxing history in general.
My investigation led me to the side-facing Jack Jackson card, which I also won on the cheap in an eBay auction.
Since then, I've acquired quite a few boxing cards, most having significance to boxing history.
This was the start of my love for boxing cards.

1910 T218 Champions.
Abe Attell, aka "The Little Hebrew", was an American boxer who became known for his record-setting, six year consecutive reign as World Featherweight Champion from 1906 to 1912.
Black Sox Scandal -- Though never charged with a crime Abe Attell is said to have been the right hand man and money delivery man (bag man) for Arnold “Big Bankroll” Rothstein who allegedly was the mastermind of the Black Sox Scandal "fix".
