Reese’s legacy of integrity is inseparable from his quiet, courageous support of Jackie Robinson in 1947. At a time when many players — even teammates — were hostile or fearful, Reese publicly put his arm around Robinson during a game in Cincinnati amid racial abuse. It was not a grand speech or publicity stunt; it was a simple human act that carried real personal risk in that era.

1954 Red Heart, Jim Gilliam ⭐ MLB Pioneer
There has been no finer gentleman to step on a MLB field than Jim "Junior" Gilliam.
He was magnificent on the field and even better away from it.
Gilliam played in the Negro Leagues for the Baltimore Elite Giants from 1948 to 1950, before his phenomenal Dodger career.
Gilliam was a clutch performer who either a played or coached, on ten Dodger pennant winners, with four World Series championships.
His uniform #19, is retired by the Dodgers and is the only Dodgers player whose number is retired but has yet to be elected to the MLB Hall of Fame.
Jim Gilliam deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, and I believe someday he will be enshrined there.

1955 Topps #92, Don Zimmer ⭐ RC
1955 Topps cards are amazing. It contained 3 of the iconic RCs in the hobby and this little beauty too.
Don Zimmer had an amazing career in MLB both as a player and coach.
This included getting a noogie from Pedro Martinez in Game 3 of the 2003 American League Championship Series between the Red Sox and Yankees, when benches cleared and Zimmer charged him.

Even though Freddie is not a Buc, I've become a fan of his for his on-field excellence and off-field integrity.
