Steve Garvey was one of my favorite non-Pirates growing up.
I begged my Dad to take me to see him play when the Dodgers visited Pittsburgh.
I remember he was a fantastic hitter and clutch too.
Steve Garvey won multiple MVP awards during his 19-year career (1969–1987). His most prominent award was the 1974 N.L. MVP with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also was a two-time All-Star Game MVP (1974, 1978) and a two-time NL Championship Series MVP (1978, 1984)
I think he will make it into the Hall of Fame some day.
I think he is deserving.

This is "THE" notorious card #1, regarded as the toughest card to get in a high grade from the 1952 Topps Baseball Card Set.
I had always wanted to have a copy of this card, so after I landed it I decided to put the set together.
Alas, building this set is one of those things in life where you are destined to come up just a bit short.
