Dwight D. Eisenhower ⭐ Five-Star General of the Army and U.S. President
Omar N. Bradley ⭐ Five-Star General of the Army
Happy Veteran's Day friends and card folk.
This is my copy of the West Point Class of 1915 Yearbook, The Howitzer.
The West Point Class of 1915—famously called “the class the stars fell on”—produced an extraordinary number of U.S. Army generals.
Not only were these great men part of the Greatest Generation of Americans, they led the Greatest Generation's Armed Forces to secure the freedom's we enjoy today.
Here are the key figures:
Total graduates: 164 officers
Number who became generals: 59
Percentage who became generals: ≈ 36%
This is the highest percentage of generals ever produced by a single West Point class.
