Brett Favre threw his first NFL pass… to himself.
In his very first game with the Falcons, his first ever pass was batted right back into his own hands — officially making his first completion a catch to himself for a –7 yard loss. Not exactly Hall of Fame stats to start with — but he sure made up for it later!
Antonio Freeman made one of the most unforgettable catches in NFL history on Monday Night Football in 2000 — a tipped ball that bounced off a defender, hit the ground, then rolled onto his back, and Freeman scooped it up and ran for the game-winning touchdown. Even Al Michaels famously said, “He did what?!”
