Can’t blame Upper Deck for confusing Richard Hidalgo with Bobby Abreu - both were young Venezuelan outfielders who played solid defense and had some pop in their bats. The Astros ultimately decided to keep Hidalgo over Abreu, and the Devil Rays picked up the latter in the expansion draft then promptly dealt him to the Phillies.
