He was the A.L. MVP (1953); a 4× All-Star (1952–1955); 2× A.L. HR champ; led the A.L. in RBIs twice and finished Top 5 in MVP voting 4 times.
Off the field, Rosen was widely admired for his principled leadership and moral clarity.

Known for honesty, fairness, and straight talk and a strong advocate for player dignity and professionalism.

1962 Topps #49, Hal Jones RC ⭐ MLB Pioneer
This RC of MLB Pioneer Hal Jones is the second mainstream baseball card I've found that displays a player wearing a batting glove in the picture.
The first is 1961 Topps #5, John Romano.
Hal Jones began his professional baseball career in 1956, with the Kansas City Monarchs, in the Negro League, where he was named to the East-West All-Star Game.
