Since I just shared John Stockton‘s Star XRC, I thought it would be a good time to re-share his more widely accepted rookie card, the 1989-90 Fleer rookie. I’m still not sure why he never appeared in the 86-87 or 87-88 sets. Does anybody know? Still, in the set that is known for chipping on the edges and for poor centering, this is a beautiful example. It will likely stay is a card in my permanent collection however, I would be open to trading for a Reggie Miller rookie or Scottie Pippen rookie from the same set in PSA 10 grade.

Yes, the Star Co. card number #101 featuring Michael Jordan in a Bulls uniform is the star of the set. Still, there are plenty of other amazing rookies, stars, and Hall of Famer included in these early Star company sets. Case in point, here is a beautiful John Stockton XRC that has been graded as a PSA 8.

One of the best PGs to ever play. A wizard with the ball. His cards are criminally undervalued. Still, you get get amazing cards of his without breaking the bank.

These are hard to find in gem mint condition, mostly based on centering (and some rough cut edges). I’d gladly trade it for a PSA 10 Reggie Miller rookie from the same set! Still, a banger of a card. Stockton never appeared in the 1986-87 or 1987-88 Fleer sets and I’ve never known why as he broke into the league in the 1984-85 season. Anyone have any idea?!
