2006 Topps Triple Threads Relics #2/9 ⭐️ Manny - Papi - Pedro
Manny Ramirez - David Ortiz - Pedro Martinez
The Boston Red Sox broke the Curse of the Bambino and won the World Series in 2004, sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals.
These three players were good as gold for the Sox and were arguably the driving force behind their World Series season.
1. David Ortiz was the heart and soul of the comeback against the Yankees in the ALCS. He delivered multiple walk-off hits and arguably became the most clutch postseason hitter of his generation during that run. Many fans believe Boston does not win the championship without him.
2. Manny Ramirez was the club's most feared hitter and won the 2004 World Series MVP Award after hitting .412 in the Series. Together, "Manny and Papi" formed perhaps the most dangerous middle-of-the-order duo in baseball.
3. Pedro Martinez was the staff ace, won Game 3 of the World Series, and was one of the franchise's most important figures for the entire season and into the post season. Schilling may have had the "bloody" sock, but Pedro was the "Daddy".
