This card replaced the infamous Mike Witt Black Box card that was released originally in the high series print runs for a very limited time. It worked out well, since this card features two players who had stellar careers and one who became a Hall Of Famer.
Bill Stoneman no-hit the Phillies 7-0 in April 1969 in just the 9th game in Montreal Expos franchise history. The other National League expansion team that joined in 1969, San Diego, would play 8,205 games before also recording a no-hitter (Joe Musgrove in 2021).
Was going to post a couple 1941 Play ball cards that I have today but @VinitJagdish posted his entire collection of those cards yesterday (you should check it out) and I cannot compete…so going with this very young Vlad Sr card instead…
