Zelda Majora’s Mask- WATA 10

Post image 1

Most people care about Ocarina of Time more but i always thought Majora’s mask switching system was more innovative and fun. Plus any Zelda 10 on N64 is a big deal.

Duck Hunt Matte Sticker - WATA 9.8 A++

This one gives me the most nostalgia out of all NES games. It was a launch game with the Deluxe Edition NES along with Gyromite and you can tell they are first print with the Matte Sticker designation. Subsequent releases are gloss sticker, sealed Hangtabs and sealed non-hangtabs.

I remember “cheating” and putting the gun as close to the screen as possible when I was 5. Memories and nostalgia are what brings value to otherwise mass produced items that have no inherent value. And we should have a little fun in our lives besides investing in the S&P and real estate.

Nintendo World Championships Gold WATA 8.5

A true grail in the video game collecting space, whether you collect graded sealed games or just loose carts.

Nintendo World Championships (NWC) was a nationwide video-game competition held across 29 U.S. cities in 1990. The more common gray carts typically go for $50-75k nowadays ant auction and have around 100 confirmed owned out of 350 that are numbered.

The Gold NWC cartridge was given away exclusively via a Nintendo Power contest. The gold shells were custom-fitted with existing NWC gameplay boards, and a label was applied. The giveaway for the gold NWC cartridge was limited to only 26 and only 13 are confirmed to be owned.

The latest public sale of a NWC Gold was a CGC 4.0 copy without the label for $207k. Previous to that sale, the last public sale was in 2015 on eBay for $26k.

“SNES” - 2022, by Chris Clamp

”SNES” is an oil painting on linen on panel by North Carolina artist Chris Clamp - brother to “NES“, which is also in my collection.

Nintendo‘s NES and SNES defined my childhood, end of story, and having these controllers immortalized in oil painting is something special to me. While I do not play video games as often these days, these paintings remind me of the glory days and how simple life used to be!
