I’m a diehard Tigers fan. Yes it’s painful, but tigers cards are 95% of my collection. I’m currently trying to complete my first rainbow. As of now I have pulled/purchased the following cards (pictures attached as well):
Orange Auto /25
Gold /50
Purple /75
Green /99
Blue /150
Aqua /199
Base Mojo Auto
Base Mojo non Auto
My search now rests on finding the black /1 and red /5. Neither of which are on eBay. This does not surprise me. So, I’m turning to the hobby community to see if anyone has these cards or knows someone who does. If so, please reach out. I know these will be hard to come by, but I at least want to try. I love the Tigers, and I’m a huge fan of Olson. The young man is rapidly improving, and I’d be excited to have these in my PC.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Happy Saturday everyone. Here are 25 of my favorite cards on display in my collection. I’m a die hard packers fan, and I PC Jordan Love, TJ Watt, Josh Allen, and Cooper Kupp.
Completing the MJ, Pippen, and Rodman Gold Medallion run, we look at the 1998 Gold Medallion set. The 125-card parallel was randomly inserted into hobby boxes at one per pack for veterans and 1:35 packs for rookies.
Ultra continued to offer the serial numbered platinum medallions (Veterans /99 and Rookies /66) which have a silver finish, and the ultra-rare 1/1 Masterpieces finished in purple.
The 1998 Gold Medallion set strikes a perfect balance of simplicity and shine. The front features a monochromatic full bleed background image that has been overlayed with a semi-gloss gold. The full color player image pops off the card, along with the players name in a cursive font outlined with holofoil.
The back of each card features a color player shot and career stats. Additionally, you can quickly identify this parallel with the "G" suffix after card number along with the "Gold Medallion Edition" text at the bottom.
As with other years, this set is condition sensitive. Any gem mint version will carry a premium, but you can track down raw, good condition cards for a reasonable price. Stars run in the $5-$25 range and an MJ will cost $50-$75.
One fun fact about this MJ for collectors and sneaker heads. The front photo used features his last game at Madison Square Garden (March 1998, scored 42 points). He wanted to honor the stadium and wore his original Jordan 1s even though it caused his feet to bleed badly! Check out the full article here: https://bit.ly/4b4RwiY
Happy MJ Monday!
