One of the best, high-end rookies of Peyton. Visually, these row 0 cards are amazing in-hand. Flair had some of first thick/premium stock, look, and feel out on the market. The hobby is starting to rise on Manning stuff. Happy to have this one locked away in my PC. Still might be my favorite NFL player of all-time.

So this sale got me thinking… I bought my version (on the second slide) five or six years ago. I bought it already in the SGC authentic slab. The card looks great to the naked eye, other than the streaky autograph (which every one of those contenders autographs has) even the PSA 10 that sold for over $200,000. Should I send mine to PSA to cross?

What a journey it has been to acquire this 1/1 2010 Peyton Manning NFL Game Used full NFL equipment shield which has 2 additional patches on each side. This is a top 2 card in my pc behind the first ever Peyton Manning shield from 1999 that I also have.

I first saw @dacaptain37 with the card and messaged him a 5 times throughout the year to try to acquire it. Unfortunately it was not for sale. Then randomly one day @drakes_pc posts it as a new acquisition from the national and my heart sunk. Turns out they are great friends so I totally get it, no harm no foul. I’d do the same if I were in his shoes.

I’m scrolling through IG and see @mattzsportscards with it and my blood pressure immediately went up. The question now became how do I acquire a card that I have been chasing 3 years for before someone else purchases it?

I had a good discussion with @thepryancollection and he gave me good advice. He then said if I didn’t buy it, he would. 😩. I knew for a fact that if he were to buy it, it would probably end up in his top 100 PC and would never see the light of day locked away in his memorabilia room.

Thanks to @thereal27guy for his podcast on acquiring grails and as he says “sometimes you have to do what you have to do because you can’t keep them all.”

I immediately started selling cards I never thought I would in my PC... I was almost at the finish line and get a random DM from a collector who has been wanting a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle since he was 13. We finalized a deal and that immediately took me to the finish line.
