Flair cars or some of my favorite cards from the 1990s. The packs came in individually wrapped little boxes and were some of the first ultra premium, thick card stock cards. They also have some of the first cool parallels with row 0, row 1, and row 2. Each of those rows having a parallel of Legacy cards (and 1 of 1 masterpiece cards - of which I don’t have any!) that were individually numbered and stamped. I bought this one at a significant discount already in a BGS altered slab. Under close inspection I can’t see where it was altered. It does have the correct stamps and I know it’s not a Fleer bankruptcy sale or back-folded card. So glad to have it as part of my collection as these Legacy cards continue to go for higher than a price point, uncomfortable paying.
As far as 90’s cards and inserts, you don’t get too much more “90’s” than rare, lenticular inserts like this, Flair Hot Numbers and Jambalayas. In the history of the NBA, I STILL think Shaq is undervalued based on his stats, impact on the game and personality. Love picking up seldom-seen/fare inserts like this!
Sure, these don’t have the shine and appeal of later years rubies. But people don’t realize that the production run of these is actually super rare as well, they are just unnumbered. Love being able to get this Shaq rubies parallel for pennies on the dollar as compared to later years rubies. These will catch up a little over time
