When Trea Turner struggled early in his first season with the Phillies, many expected the notoriously tough Philadelphia crowd to turn on him, but Phillies fans did something unforgettable instead. In August 2023, rather than booing, they gave Turner a standing ovation before an at bat, a powerful show of belief that seemed to lift a weight off his shoulders. From that moment on, his swing loosened, his confidence returned, and he caught fire down the stretch, helping spark a postseason push. Named to the ML All-Star game for the third time in 2024, Trea did much of his damage at citizens bank park. He batted .324 with a .911 OPS across 58 home games, smacking 28 extra base hits.

Turner has always had wheels, with some of the best sprint speeds in baseball during his career, including a 29.6 ft/sec time that ranked in the 96th percentile in 2024. He’s developed power to go with that pace, as well, topping 20 homers in every season since 2021. The Righty went off in July by smacking 10 dingers, the second most in the majors.
