Was going through the PC and thought I’d share.
The 1991 & 1992 have ALWAYS had a special place in my heart. Especially the 92 Ripken auto… I’m still looking for #673/5000. That’s the one my dad and I pulled from a 1992 series 1 box back in 92 & would do just about anything to get that one back. I currently own 29 of the 5,000.
All of these were so hard to pull from the now, “Junk Era” wax boxes. Going to shows for Over the last 30 years, I always try to purchase them on the rare occasion I see them.
I don’t care how much they’re “worth”, I enjoy collecting them because they bring back so many memories of me and my buddies trying to pull one back in 1991 (my friend did pull a Doug Drabek) and my dad pulling a Ripken with me back in 1992.
If they made these cards today #’d 5,000-10,000 nobody would even care.
