New England will be releasing Diggs at the beginning of free agency this month, saving them over $15 million in salary cap. He will leave a big gap in the passing attack, as he is one of few to have consistent 1,000 yard seasons, and without him leaves a young platoon of receivers. In my opinion Boutte, Chism, Williams, Douglas, and Hollins are good but I do not think that the Pats are done.
I believe they will try shopping more receivers before the draft to get a 3rd rounder or so. They definitely will be targeting a Pierce or DJ Moore.
My bold predictions would be picking up T Hill and using some that that cap space or trading for a former 1st rounder, Marvin Harrison Jr now that the Cardinals will undoubtedly be renovating their roster with Kyler Murray being recently released. Iām sure they would like more draft capital.
New England may choose to only get one receiver but I believe they will target 2 bigger names. Let the cards fall as they Maye.
