Bronze Medals Showing Patina, Nyjah Doesn't Like!

Sports Memorabilia

Olympic Sports

Watches

Saw that Nyjah Huston's Bronze Medal from the Olympics looks pretty tarnished after a few days. He seemed pretty bummed about it, and maybe the metal they used is tarnishing extra quickly.

BUT one of the best things about bronze as a metal, IMO, is how it shows patina over time. In the watch world, people often buy bronze watches just so they can have something that changes color and shine as it ages. The Tudor Black Bay Bronze was sold out everywhere when it launched for that exact reason.

Of course, it shouldn't happen after a single day. And maybe there's something wrong with the materials used. But I think eventually those patina'd medals will look insanely cool, and Nyjah will be stoked.
