Wrote a little about potentially not watching this game. I went to the Wild Card Pats game and I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be there, now after weeks of tragic events in our country I feel the need to ask the question should we even watch?

The Minnesota protests were able to shut down companies and show how devastated our country is with the actions of these thugs. It has made me feel that we must use our privilege and platforms to enact change drastically. That’s why I’m proposing not watching this game at all. Sacrificing an American tradition that a New England fan once could only dream of happening months ago.

Things must change and if sacrificing some joy that I have already felt, so be it. A no watch party it is!

Trying to gauge what others think of the idea and if others would even consider doing the same. If enough people threaten to not watch, companies that have paid millions to get their ads in front of you, they might bring the change before the idea of people not watching can manifest.
