Banksy - Park City, Utah mural - found at Sundance, 2010
The year was 2010. I was in Park City, Utah for the Sundance film Festival. I was amazed and astounded when I noticed a mural on the side of a coffee shop. It was recognizable as something in the style of Banksy. The mural was brand new, as it wasn’t there the night before. Did I just discover a Banksy? Yes… In fact, Banksy was unknowingly in town as he painted five pieces prior to the release of this documentary “Exit Through the Gift Shop”. I will forever be linked to Banksy in this manner. Pictures of me and the mural surfaced in the Desatttar for the local Salt Lake City newspaper. His movie, one of brilliance, was nominated for an Oscar. Sadly, it didn’t win. I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have shown up to pick up the award anyways!
