💕 About Lovely Mipple

• “Mipple” is the fictional pop unit formed by Pururun (Polly Esther) and Omitsu (Lucille) — their name being a portmanteau of their names.

• In the English Dub, they were called the Pointless Sisters; a reference to the American female vocal group, and a nod at the English dub’s refusal to take itself too seriously.

• The duo’s outfits mimic 1990s J-Pop idol styling — bright skirts, ribbon bows, and over-ear headsets.

• The design here recreates a CD maxi-single jacket, down to the obi strip and printed jewel case insert.

🎙 Did You Know?

• The fake record-label “キング・レコード (King Record)” nods to King Records, who handled many Tatsunoko soundtracks in the ’80s–’90s.

• The side-label text “YASU けと ナイ！” is a playful parody of J-Pop naming conventions — “Yasu” being a frequent shorthand for producers or arrangers.

• The yellow obi’s blurb roughly reads: “A miraculous idol debut by Omitsu and Pururun — the charm of Edo’s top girls, now on CD!”

• Each coaster’s back shows a soft monochrome illustration of the pair in idol mode, complete with matching bows.
