Yesterday, Fernando’s younger brother, Alberto Mendoza interned into the Transporter Portal, and signed with Georgia Tech a few hours later. This has lead me to wonder if Fernando might be staying at Indiana for the 2026-2027 school year, and that’s why his younger brother left Indiana right after their win in the National Championship Game. Why would he leave one of the richest colleges in America, that just won the Natty to a team that had just now had some success, if his brother was leaving Indiana?

Of course, he might want to chase college football glory outside of Indiana, where his brother Fernando is now a legend. Which, I can’t blame him. He’s his own player, and not his brother. But, Tom Brady’s Raiders might just have to go after a QB in free agency, or draft Ty Simpson if Fernando stays at Indiana one last season. This is all speculation, so don’t freak out yet Raider fans! What do y’all think? Let me know in the comments.
