(UNLICENSED) Mexican bootleg Yattaro figure (May 2023, Angel Toys)
The one where Speedy flew solo… and his wings were upside-down.
Getting déjà vu? I wouldn’t blame you.
If I had a nickel for every bootleg Samurai Pizza Cat figure that came from Mexico, I’d have 10 cents, which isn’t much, but it’s weird that Angel Toys made it happen twice.
Before the now-infamous Mexican bootleg trio ever hit the scene, there was this guy — a standalone Speedy figure released in 2023, a full year earlier. Manufactured by Angel Toys, this was the first entry in what would later become a much rougher follow-up wave.
Interestingly (and hilariously), this initial Speedy is noticeably more solid than the later trio release. The sculpt holds together better, the plastic feels sturdier, and overall it comes across as the most “serious” attempt this bootleg line ever made… despite a few choices.

Only Speedy in the first series — no Guido, no Polly
Approximately 8 inches tall, making him surprisingly imposing.
Upside-down wings, because gravity is optional.
Better build quality than the later three-figure set (somehow).
What’s even more fascinating is that I’ve been able to find photos of this figure with different coats of paint, but because this is all walled behind a Mercado Libre account (which I can’t create with a Canadian phone number), it will have to remain a mystery for a little longer.
It’s unofficial, unlicensed, deeply cursed, and yet… historically fascinating. Whether viewed as an oddity, a curiosity, or an accidental proto-release, this Speedy marks the moment Mexican SPC bootlegs went from idea to “oh no, they actually did it.”
Love him or fear him — he earns his place in the archive.
