1951 Topps Ringside #42, Tiger Flowers.
Tiger Flowers, known as "The Georgia Deacon," was the first African American to win the world middleweight boxing title, capturing the crown in 1926. A trailblazer in and out of the ring, Flowers combined lightning-quick footwork with a fierce left hand, earning respect from fans and foes alike during the segregated 1920s. As a huge underdog, he defeated the mighty Harry Greb to win the title. A deeply religious man, he often quoted scripture before fights and broke barriers with both his fists and faith. Tiger Flowers remains a legendary figure in boxing history. @cardsforchrist @RALewis3
