I've been collecting art my whole life, but I never had the wall space for it.

Then I found ACEOs.

ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions, and Originals. They're 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The size of a trading card. Small enough to hold in your hand. Big enough to stop you in your tracks.

The format is what makes them interesting. This isn't a genre. It's a canvas size. Artists use it however they want. Watercolor. Alcohol markers. Carved wood. Burned designs. UV printed holos. Hand-drawn one of ones. The range is wide.

There are two main types. Art Cards are printed editions, usually housed in a protective slab, with variations such as holograms and foils. Originals are one of one. Handmade by the artist. When it sells, it's gone.

Some come from studios that commission artists and produce limited runs. But most come from independent artists who do everything themselves, designing, printing, painting, and shipping.

That's the part that got me. These aren't mass-produced prints from a warehouse. Every piece traces back to a person who made it.
