This is what I enjoy about collecting on the Panini blockchain. Always new features and ideas added to the blockchain. Your collectible is always living and breathing. Currently there are perfect mint badges, rookie badges and jersey number badges. For the OG Panini blockchain collectors who were first in, you will have a debut badge added to your first debuts. Here is the breakdown from Panini. Debuts should give the market a kick.
NEW BADGE DROP ALERT – THE DEBUT BADGE IS COMING SOON! The Debut Badge celebrates the first-ever appearance of an athlete on the Panini Blockchain platform! We understand the importance and value our collectors give to firsts, this will help maintain the historical significance of many of our cards, as well as make it easy for you all to locate and chase after them on our platform. How It Works: • The badge will be awarded to the NFTs of an individual athlete in the very first collection that they appear on in the Panini Blockchain Platform. • Multi-athlete cards do not qualify for this badge — unless the same athlete appears on both sides of the card (then it counts!). This will include every type of NFT on our platform, from Pack releases, Blockchain Redemptions, and Dutch Auction 1/1s. An example, for this upcoming WNBA release, every rookie card in this release will receive the Debut badge, as it is their first appearance on our platform. This also means that some athletes across our sports will have very limited debut cards, some of our cards dating back to 2019 and 2020 were only 1/1s, or up to a max of /10 or /15, with 0 or few parallel variations. The plan is for the Badge to go live within the next 2 weeks, we will post a follow up announcement once the Badge is enabled!
I’m a bit collector of VeeFriends as I mentioned in a prior post. I have a big stack of Shaq Gives Back NFTs. A project launched by The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation that raised $2.5 million for the nonprofit.
I ran/run the social media accounts for the project and moderate the Discord server. When people began calling the project a “scam” and “rug pull” I knew NFTs were in trouble. A project that was solely about raising funds for the nonprofit with no roadmap promised was being pumped and then called a scam. Was eye opening and I am thankful to learn many lessons. I say ran/run because I never got paid and don’t have the time to do much for it at this time.
I still believe in the project and think the blockchain will usher in the new era of the internet. Time will tell!
It's pretty unfortunate how many beautiful and elegant pieces of all types of collectibles are stored away, never seeing the light of day, and stories untold.
I'd like to break that glass ceiling -- a story with a happy ending.
A friend of mine co-owns an advisory agency with his brother, representing high-end clientele.
In late 2022, he told me that one of his clients had a ton of music memorabilia locked away in storage, and they were looking to move them to a new storage.
That meant no showcase, no spotlight, no nothing. Back into the boxes where they were for the past few decades.
Now, my friend is a crypto-geek. He understood the potential of the blockchain, the idea of bridging the physical and digital divide, the increased visibility of each item, and even allowing these assets to be transacted instantly with access to global liquidity.
We offered to his client to intake ALL of the music memorabilia, digitize each item, and build out a profile to expand on both the legacy of the individual who was gifted these items, as well as the items themselves.
The person I am talking about is Barry Fey, one of the most prolific concert promoters of all time. Each item within the Barry Fey Collection is gifted music memorabilia by Rock & Roll artists from the late '60s to the early '00s.
Barry Fey's legacy continues to live on through Americana, and the items are on-chain, each with provenance tied to whoever owns them. Forever.

Hey everyone! My name is Micah, I'm 25, and I am very heavy into the crypto space. Currently working with Americana to bring physical collectibles on the blockchain.
Heard about Mantel through @alexisohanian and I'm excited to be here and to connect with you all. :)
