Before he became a superstar Frank was a great two sport star athlete at Auburn. As he made his way up he was a Double A prospect with the Birmingham Barons. Here is a great example of his full signature before he started signing F T 35.
Goose walked 37 batters in 49.2 IP and gave up 9 homers in 1973. His ERA was 9.08 when he was sent to the minors in July. He was recalled in September and was a little better down the stretch, finishing at 7.43.
Two years later he lead the league in saves and made his first of 9 all-star teams.
I love this oversized set! Has Frank Thomas, Jeff Bagwell, Mo Vaughn, Chuck Knoblauch and several others. Fairly inexpensive too. Frank Thomas was a very popular player to get back in the day. The most popular card being the 1990 Leaf. Hope everyone is having a great 2026 so far. It can only go up from 2025!
