Believe it or not, once upon a time, these were both massive cards. Think about the attention Cooper Flagg cards currently get and how big his autograph cards are in his Duke uniform. These two cards were like those are now. Glenn Robinson was an absolute monster at Purdue, likely in the top three players I’ve ever seen in play live in college. He had a decent career, but never lived up the hype of being the face of the game. Still, it brings me back to a time in college. The draft was held in Indianapolis, Indiana and I was present for the draft and even bought tickets to the “Big Dogs” after party. What a great nickname. In fact, being an Indiana grad, I wore a shirt that said “Let the big dog eat this!” with an arrow pointing downwards. Probably politically incorrect now, but at the time getting a picture standing next to Glenn Robinson wearing that shirt was priceless.
