Here’s quite the oddball for you… Back in the early 90s I think this was 1994, Signature Rookies produced cards that included autographed prepaid phone cards. I have no idea why in retrospect, but inserted prepaid, phone calls and autographed prepaid phone cards were all the rage. Weird, right? Anyways, I decided to chase and collect all 40 of these prepaid phone card autos featuring rookies of the 1995 NFL class. Most of the players were busts, other than Curtis Martin, who is a top 10 NFL running back. The phone cards at $2 each probably have more worth than the actual collectable!

As the football collecting world continues to focus on quarterbacks, I see opportunities to buy a Hall of Fame caliber players in skill positions like running backs and wide receivers. Curtis Martin is a top 10 running back of all time and I was able to purchase one of his best cards, the skybox EX essential credentials numbered out of 50 for less than $200. I love collecting cards like this from great sets!
