I met Franco at a trade computer game convention in the mid 90’s. He was signing autographs and took pictures with everyone. I knew he was going to be there and came prepared. He saw the rookie card and told me it was in very nice condition and wanted to give me $500 for it! You could tell by the look on his face that he was kidding with me. I laughed and played along by telling him no. He raised it to $700! I told him he probably had a drawer full of this card in his office. He said $1,000!!! I replied “You really don’t know how much your cards are worth do you?!” He laughed and said $1,500! He looked at the Pro Set HOF card and said,”The artist made me look better than I normally look on the field!”
